  • Bolivian silver mug for drinking spirits (aguardente).
    Made in the Spanish Colonial style typical of silverware of the Andes at the time.
    Dating to approximately 1900.
    Approximately 1.56 troy ounces.
    Tests approximately 70% silver and 30% copper, which is appropriate for silverware made in provincial towns of the Andes at the time.
    (Tested here in the jewelry district in NYC by a metals recycler to whom I sell scrap.  I believe that the machine that they have uses x-ray fluorescence technology).
    Approximately 2 3/8 high.
    Approximately 2 1/2 inches wide (including handle).
    Barrel diameter approximately 1 7/16 inches.
